A kitchen with presence.

For this Westfield home, the brief was a kitchen that felt grounded and timeless — rich, saturated cabinetry balanced against the cool movement of natural marble. Deep navy millwork wraps the room floor to ceiling, while a dramatic waterfall island anchors the space and invites people to gather.

Every decision, from the glass display uppers to the warm under-cabinet glow, was made to layer texture and light so the room reads as collected and considered rather than simply new.

01 / Cabinetry

Floor-to-ceiling navy

  • Color. A deep, custom navy on Shaker-style fronts gives the room its signature mood — confident, warm, and timeless.
  • Storage. Full-height uppers crowned with detailed cornice molding maximize storage while drawing the eye up.
  • Hardware. Slim brushed-nickel pulls keep the cabinetry crisp and modern.

02 / Island

Waterfall marble island

  • Surface. A bold, book-matched marble waterfall island that falls to the floor on both ends — the sculptural centerpiece of the room.
  • Seating. Three upholstered grey stools turn the island into a natural gathering spot for everyday living and entertaining.
  • Contrast. The cool white veining plays beautifully against the navy base for a high-contrast, magazine-ready finish.

03 / Lighting & Detail

Glass display & layered light

  • Display uppers. Glass-front cabinets with warm interior lighting showcase glassware and add a jewel-box glow to the upper register.
  • Backsplash. A full marble backsplash carries the stone story from counter to ceiling behind the range.
  • Layered light. Recessed ceiling cans, under-cabinet strips, and cabinet interior lighting create depth at every hour.
